Basketball Buckeyes Get Much Needed Help

The Basketball Buckeyes were in need of some good news. They got some over the weekend. Musa Jallow, an athletic 6'5 guard/forward out of Bloomington, Indiana announced in a two part video on Twitter, that he would play college basketball at Ohio State.

Perhaps even better for Ohio State is that Jallow, who had been part of the 2018 recruiting class, reclassified and will be eligible this coming season. That's welcome news to new coach Chris Holtmann, who told us in an exclusive interview with 105.7, the Zone and WTVN last week, that it was necessary to add a player or two to his thin roster for next season. Ohio State was down to eight recruited scholarship players. Jallow gives them a ninth and pushes the roster up to 10 including walk-on Joey Lane. Jallow averaged more than 24 points and 9 rebounds a game at Bloomington North High School last season. He is an accomplished student, which is why he was able to reclassify and become eligible for 2017.
