Indians, Reds Provide Major League Highlights

posted by Matt McCoy -

One team won and one team lost, but both of Ohio's Major League Baseball teams had exciting and spectacular moments Tuesday night.

In Cleveland, the Indians beat Colorado 4-1, scoring all four runs in the bottom of the 9th. After Austin Jackson's two-out bloop single drove in the tying run, catcher Yan Gomes stepped up and delivered a game ending 3-run homer. As he always does, Indians play-by-play man Tom Hamilton had an epic call of the Gomes heroics. Check out the homer, with Hammy's call here.

In Cincinnati, the Reds lost 7-3 to San Diego, but speedy centerfielder Billy Hamilton provided the highlight of the night, making a Willie Mays like catch on a drive off the bat of the Padres Carlos Asuaje. If you missed it--it's remarkable. Check it out below.
