Chase Young is the latest Buckeye freshman to earn enough respect from the Ohio State coaches and his OSU teammates to be considered a "true Buckeye." Young, a 5-star recruit who has been getting rave reviews at training camp, had the black stripe removed from his helmet Wednesday. Young is part of one of the deepest defensive lines in the country featuring some dynamic d-ends like Tyquan Lewis, Sam Hubbard, Jalyn Holmes, and Nick Bosa.
Young becomes the third Buckeye freshman to have his stripe removed this camp. Running back JK Dobbins was the first and safety Isaiah Pryor was the second.
