Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett completed 25 for 33 for 270 yards and two touchdowns and freshman running back J.K. Dobbins ran for 172 yards and a pair of scores, as the 8th ranked Buckeyes bounced back from last week's loss to Oklahoma with a 38-7 victory over Army.
Barrett also ran for a touchdown. He now has 107 touchdowns accounted for, breaking the all-time Big Ten record of 106 held previously by Purdue's Drew Brees.
''He's one of the toughest players I've ever been around," Coach Urban Meyer said of Barrett. "That's pretty good characteristics to have for the guy touching the ball every snap.''
Defensively, Ohio State withstood an impressive 18-play 99-yard Army touchdown drive in the second quarter that cut the Buckeyes early 14-0 lead in half. After that however, the Black Knights were never able to penetrate into Ohio State's red zone. OSU outgained Army 578 yards to 278.
The Buckeyes (2-1) return home to face UNLV next Saturday.
