I mentioned this to WTVN morning host Joel Riley Tuesday morning, but in Monday night's 5-1 Blue Jackets loss to Tampa Bay, there was a scary moment for an announcer. NBC Sports Network hockey analyst Pierre McGuire, working rink side between the team benches, had a puck fly into his booth, missing him by inches. I guess it's a job hazard when you work that close to the action. What's striking is that McGuire never reacts to the puck until after it is past him and hits the camera. Guess that's why NHL goalies, like Sergei Bobrovsky are well paid. If you didn't see it--check out the video below.
