Day One

Welcome to the Ryan Day era of Ohio State football. Yes, I know...he's already 3-0 after serving as interim coach during Urban Meyer's suspension last season, but Wednesday was the first time Day has coached a Buckeye practice as the permanent head coach.

Since Meyer announced his retirement and then coached his last game at the Rose Bowl, Day has been extremely busy. He had to finish off his first recruiting class, enhanced that class by landing Georgia transfer quarterback Justin Fields, and also rebuilt the Ohio State defensive coaching staff.

Day discussed what he saw on day one as Buckeye coach, including the upcoming quarterback battle between Fields and redshirt sophomore Mattthew Baldwin. If you're interested in what Coach Day had to say, the magnificent Lori Schmidt captured it all and posted it to the WTVN YouTube page. You can check out the 22 minute presser here.
