The Blue Jackets begin what they hope will be a lengthy playoff run in Tampa Bay Wednesday night against the heavily favored Lightning. Not only did Tampa tie the NHL record with 62 regular season wins, but three of those wins were against the Jackets by a combined score of 17-3....but that was the regular season.
Playoff hockey in the NHL can be quite unpredictable and the Blue Jackets are hoping for some magic starting with game one. General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen, who built this Jackets roster and chose to add pieces at the trade deadline, rather than deal unrestricted free agents Sergei Bobrovsky and Artemi Panarin, joined Joel Riley on WTVN this morning. We talked about his trade deadline decision making, the series with Tampa Bay, 19-year old Alexandre Texier and more. Thanks to Jarmo for joining us from Tampa.
