It's been six days since the Blue Jackets completed their improbable first round sweep of Tampa Bay and the CBJ still don't know who they'll play in round two of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Toronto, on home ice, had a chance to eliminate Boston Sunday, but it was the Bruins who came away with the 4-2 win, forcing a decisive seventh game in Boston Tuesday. It means the Jackets second round series won't start until either Thursday or Friday. In an effort to stay sharp, the Jackets are having a game-like scrimmage in Nationwide Arena on Monday. The scrimmage is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 10:30 am with the scrimmage starting at 11 o'clock.
Longtime Blue Jackets beat reporter Aaron Portzline of "The Athletic" visited with Joel Riley and me on WTVN to talk about the Jackets, which team, Boston or Toronto, would be a better second round match-up and much more. Aaron is as good as it gets when it comes to Blue Jackets information and he was excellent in this conversation as well. If you missed it, you can check it out here.
