For the third year in a row, I'm both honored and proud to be part of a very special event. Along with my good friend Madison Spielman, I'll be emceeing the "Step Up For Stefanie's Champions" four or one mile walk/run Saturday morning. It's a fun and powerful event. Prior to the race, Chris Spielman will honor four "champions," who were nominated by cancer survivors and are being recognized for standing by their loved one during the trauma of the cancer diagnosis and treatments. The video story of this year's champions will be shown and I can tell you from experience, it's a beautiful and emotional tribute.
We would love to see you, as all proceeds go to the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research. There's still time to participate. The race begins at 8 am at the Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center at 1145 Olentangy River Road. Race day registrations cost $55 and will be accepted on site beginning at 7 am. You can also still sign up on line by clicking on the link provided in Maddie's tweet below..
On Thursday morning, Maddie joined Joel Riley and me on WTVN to talk about the walk, the legacy of her mom and more. You can check that out here.
