In addition to officially naming Justin Fields Ohio State's starting quarterback, Buckeye coach Ryan Day also revealed the seven 2019 OSU Football Captains. Four of those captains are part of the Buckeye defense, including linebacker Tuf Borland and safety Jordan Fuller, who repeat as OSU captains. Joining them on defense are linemen Chase Young and Jonathon Cooper. The offensive captains include former walk-on C.J. Saunders. He is joined by another wide out, K.J. Hill as well as running back J.K. Dobbins.
After the announcement Tuesday, Ohio State released videos of wide receivers coach Brian Hartline calling the mothers of Saunders and Hill, defensive line coach Larry Johnson calling Chase Young's mom and running backs coach Tony Alford dialing up J.K. Dobbins mom to tell them the good news. It's some good stuff here. Check out the videos below.
