What a treat it was for Joel Riley and me to talk with retiring Reds broadcaster Marty Brennaman. The Hall of Famer, after 46 years in Cincinnati, will call his final game Thursday afternoon, when the Reds host Milwaukee. Marty, who is always gracious with his time, having joined us on WTVN several times through the years, talked about his final days, his years with Joe Nuxhall, his favorite memories, calling one last game with his son Thom and much, much more. It's a must listen if you're a Reds fan. Thanks again to the legend for joining us...and enjoy retirement Marty, you deserve it!!
In our interview, Marty mentions one of his favorite moments was an impromptu rain delay interview with comedian and Springfield, Ohio native Jonathan Winters. We were able to find it on-line on Greg Lucas soundcloud page. If you're interested in hearing it, the link is here.
