On paper, Saturday's Ohio State/Wisconsin match-up looks pretty even. Wisconsin is number 1 in the nation in total defense and the Buckeyes are number 2. Ohio State is 5th nationally in total offense and the Badgers are 37th. In scoring offense, OSU is 3rd and Wisconsin is 12th. Choose a Big Ten statistic and you'll likely find Ohio State or Wisconsin near the top. Recent history would also suggest that it will be a close game. The Buckeyes have won the last 6 head-to-head meetings, but five of those games have been decided by a touchdown or less and two went to overtime. The one glaring exception was the 2014 Big Ten Championship game when the Buckeyes, en route to a national championship, smashed the Badgers 59-0. What kind of a game will this be? I got into it, in depth with former Buckeye quarterback, BTN and Best Buckeye Coverage analyst Stan Jackson on this week's "Jackson and McCoy" podcast and also, when Stan joined Joel Riley for his weekly visit on 610 WTVN. Good stuff, as usual from Stan who tends to think Ohio State will handle Wisconsin and remain undefeated. You can check out Stan's visit on WTVN below and to listen to "Jackson and McCoy" click here.
