Haskins Debuts; Thomas & Zeke Shine

Former Buckeye quarterback and first round draft pick Dwayne Haskins got his first start for the Washington Redskins, and like his teams overall season, it didn't go well. Washington's struggling offensive line could not protect Haskins, as the New York Jets recorded six sacks en route to a 34-17 win. Washington fell to 1-9 on the season but there was some good news. After an unproductive start to the game, Haskins seemed to find a rhythm as the game progressed and wound up throwing two fourth quarter touchdown passes---the first two TD throws of his career. Haskins numbers weren't bad. He finished 19-35 for 214 yards, with two touchdowns and one interception. His former Buckeye teammate Terry McLaurin, who is having an outstanding rookie season, made a spectacular fourth quarter catch that highlighted an otherwise tough day for the Redskins. You can check out some of the Haskins highlights, including the incredible sideline grab by McLaurin below. Also included, a sideline moment with Haskins, pleading for help from his offensive line.

Thomas Makes History, Bell Gets First Pick

Former Buckeye wide out Michael Thomas continues to put together a remarkable season. In the New Orleans Saints 34-17 win over Tampa Bay, Thomas had 8 receptions for 114 yards and a touchdown. Thomas now has 94 receptions in 2019, the most in the history of the NFL after 10 games. He broke a record that was previously held by NFL Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison and Atlanta's Julio Jones, who both had seasons with 89 catches after the first 10. Thomas also now has 415 receptions in his career, the most by a player in his first four years in the league. Thomas wasn't the only Buckeye receiver who plays for the Saints to find the end zone Sunday. Veteran Ted Ginn also had a milestone day, hauling in the 400th catch of his career and later in the day, snagging a TD grab. Another Ohio State product, safety Vonn Bell, had a career first on defense. Bell had the first interception of his career that killed a potential Tampa Bay scoring drive at the end of the half.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys enjoyed a 35-27 win over Detroit. OSU product Ezekiel Elliott was held in check rushing the ball, just 45 yards on 16 carries, but it's not like Zeke wasn't effective. He had one touchdown run and also, took a swing pass 17 yards for a touchdown and made his teammates howl with his end zone celebration. Zeke mimicked Dallas QB Dak Prescott's pregame footwork routine after scoring the TD. Funny stuff. You can check out the highlights from Thomas, Bell, Ginn and Zeke below.
