Before Blue Jackets defenseman Seth Jones suffered the ankle injury that is expected to sideline him for the rest of the regular season, he was again an NHL All-Star, both on and off the ice. When the Jackets visited the New York Rangers back on January 19, Jones surprised one of his biggest fans. Dominik Rivera plays center for Ice Hockey In Harlem. He was invited to the Rangers/Blue Jackets game that night by NHL commissioner Gary Bettman. Posted below is the NHL Network feature on Rivera's story, why he is a Seth Jones fan, and their surprise meeting. Really good stuff here and a glimpse as to why Jones is a franchise type player. It goes beyond his work on the blue line for the CBJ. Check it out here.
