Foligno Talks CBJ, Phase Two, His Biggest Moment And More

It was great to catch up with Columbus Blue Jackets Captain Nick Foligno Tuesday morning on 610 WTVN. The NHL has entered "Phase Two" of its re-start plan, meaning that NHL players can use team facilities to begin on and off ice voluntary workouts. Nick remains at his home in Canada for the time being but says he's staying sharp and ready for what hopefully is to come. If there are no COVID-19 setbacks, the NHL plan calls for teams to gather for training camp for Phase Three in about a month. Phase Four would be the 24-team playoff starting at the end of July or early August. The Blue Jackets would meet Toronto in a best of five qualifying round series. It was a good solid 12 minute conversation with Nick that included his memories of what he called his biggest hockey moment. On Tuesday night, Fox Sports Ohio is rebroadcasting the Jackets 2014 overtime playoff win over Pittsburgh. It was the Jackets first ever home playoff victory and Nick, of course, scored the game winner. It's always a pleasure to talk to Nick who gave us great insight and information.
