Five time Memorial Tournament winner Tiger Woods is coming back to Muirfield. Woods, who has yet to play competitive golf since the PGA tour returned from its COVID-19 hiatus announced Thursday that he was returning to Jack Nicklaus' Memorial. It's good news for the Memorial, which will have its typically loaded field which is expected to include 9 of the top 10 ranked players in the world. Memorial Tournament director Dan Sullivan visited with Joel Riley and me Friday morning on WTVN. It was an interesting conversation with Dan, not only on the Tiger Woods commitment, but also the tournament currently in progress at Muirfield, the Workday Charity Open. Sullivan also commented on the decision to play the Memorial without fans, and the challenge of hosting PGA tour events in consecutive weeks. We appreciate Dan taking a few minutes from his busy schedule to join us. If you missed it, you can listen by going to Joel's podcast page by clicking here.
