Morikawa Wins Thriller At Muirfield

If this week's Memorial Tournament is anything like the Workday Charity Open this past weekend at Muirfield, we're in for a treat. 23-year old Collin Morikawa outlasted Justin Thomas in three playoff holes to win on the PGA Tour for the second time. Morikawa, a rising star on tour, was three shots behind Thomas with three holes to go, but Thomas bogeyed both 16 and 18, while Morikawa parred both of those holes and birdied 17 to pull even with Thomas a 19-under par. That set the stage for an incredible playoff, highlighted by the first playoff hole. Morikawa and Thomas replayed 18. Thomas rolled in an incredible 50-foot birdie putt to seemingly win the tournament, but Morikawa stayed alive by nailing a 24-foot birdie himself. It was an incredible moment. You can check those putts out here and also see Morikawa's post-tournament press conference below.
