It was a rough first year for rookie Bengals head coach Zac Taylor. Cincinnati finished just 2-14 in Taylor's inaugural season, but when the Bengals host the Chargers in the 2020 season opener, year two for Taylor begins with new hope. The organization hopes it has found its franchise quarterback with No. 1 draft pick and Heisman winner Joe Burrow. The Bengals were also active in the off-season, making several key free agent pick-ups including former Ohio State safety Vonn Bell. Burrow and Bell, former teammates at Ohio State, are two of the seven Bengal captains selected this week. On Friday, Bengals analyst Dave Lapham joined 610 WTVN's Joel Riley to talk about the expectations for Burrow, the leadership of Bell, the influence of former Buckeyes on the Bengal roster, expectations for the upcoming season and more. It was great to talk with Lap to get his observations as the 2020 season gets set to kick off. If you missed his visit with us, you can check it out by clicking here to go to Joel's podcast page.
