COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--The Ohio State University has posted a database of all of the salaries of its employees, in an effort to promote transparency.
The database include salary data from over 42,000 workers, which does not include students employed by the university.
Officials say in the calendar year 2017, the university paid out about $2.5-billion in total earnings. The average salary is just over $48,000.
The database is available in searchable form by department, title, or salary range, and users cal also download excel spreadsheets of information.
