Columbus State considers tuition increase

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- Columbus State Community College is considering its first tuition increase since 2014.

The school's Board of Trustees meets Friday to decide whether to raise tuition by $10 per credit hour.

For a full-time student taking a 15 credit-hour course load, the increase would amount to $150 more per semester and $300 per year.

A full-time Columbus State student currently pays about $4300 per year in tuition.

Students with Pell grants or attending the school part-time would not be affected by the increase.
