TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVN) -- A dying dog will enjoy free cheeseburgers for the rest of his days, thanks to a Burger King in northwest Ohio.
A franchise in Toledo is treating a 10-year-old Boxer-Lab mix named Cody to his favorite snack.
Cody's owner, Alec Karcher, tweeted over the weekend that the manager of the Burger King where he stops with the dog decided Cody could eat free.
Veterinarians say Cody has only one to three months to live.
Karcher had been getting the dog a plain cheeseburger to make it easier to down the many medications he has to take.
An employee went to the manager after politely asking Karcher why he always bought a plain cheeseburger.
