NEW YORK, (WTVN)--Ohio State Quarterback Dwayne Haskins is a finalist for the 2018 Heisman Trophy.
The redshirt Sophomore from Potomac, Maryland led the Buckeyes to a 12-1 record this season, which included wins over Michigan and Northwestern, with the latter coming in the Big Ten Championship Game.
In the process, Haskins set Big Ten Conference season passing records for touchdowns and passing yards in a season, records previously held by Drew Brees.
Haskins also won the "Silver Football", given annually by the Chicago Tribune to the best player in the Big Ten Conference.
He'll be joined in New York City by Alabama Quarterback Tua Tagovaiola and Oklahoma Quarterback Kyler Murray.
The Heisman Trophy will be awarded Saturday night. The last Ohio State player to win it was Troy Smith in 2006.
