What a difference a week makes. Prior to the Blue Jackets game versus Nashville January 10, the team announced the suspension of goalie Sergei Bobrovsky for an incident following a loss in Tampa. Behind a strong performance from back-up goalie Joonas Korpisalo, the Jackets won in overtime that night. Even through Bobrovsky was re-instated, Korpisalo remained in net last Saturday when the Jackets beat defending Stanley Cup Champion Washington 2-1 in OT. Since then the CBJ have beaten the New York Rangers and the New Jersey Devils to take the win streak to four. Thanks to the win streak, the Jackets have moved into first place in the Metropolitan Division. They host Montreal Friday, then visit Minnesota Saturday before getting nine days off around the NHL All-Star Game.
Fox Sports Ohio analyst Bill Davidge joined Stan Jackson and me on "The Drive" Thursday to talk about the surging Jackets, the situation in goal, the outstanding play of guys like Cam Atkinson, Seth Jones and Artemi Panarin and more. It was great to chat with Bill who delivered great information. You can check it out here.
