GROVEPORT, Ohio (24-7 News)--A kindergarten teacher at Asbury Elementary School, in the Groveport Madison School district, has been placed on paid administrative leave after a complaint of harsh treatment while correcting a student.
The District confirmed Monday they had contacted parents and alerted Franklin County Children's Services about the incident.
Authorities say the child involved is healthy and unharmed and no criminal charges have been filed against the teacher but that an internal review is still underway.
The school board could ultimately fire the teacher as a result of the investigation.
ABC-6 obtained a copy of the teacher's performance review, with a principal noting that the teacher was "not kind".
