An unusual bright meteor created a blue-green streak in the night sky over Florida on Saturday night (March 30th.) The National Weather Service (NWS) in Tallahassee confirmed the fireball spotted was in fact a meteor that was recorded by its satellite system just before midnight. Many caught it on video.
The NWS said it cannot confirm whether the meteor had survived entering the atmosphere and crashed to earth, but that its data suggests if it did land, it landed in Florida.
