COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--The families of three alleged victims of Dr. William Husel, at Mt. Carmel health System, have settled wrongful death lawsuits with the organizations.
The settlements were reached with the families of Lora Jackie Stone, Corrinnia Blake, and Emma Bogan.
Attorneys tell ABC-6 that settlements are close with two additional families.
Late in 2018, the hospital acknowledged that Dr. Husel may have administered fatal overdoses of pain medications, including fentanyl, to over 30 patients.
Dr. Husel was fired from the hospital after working there for about four years. The criminal case against him is still in the works, with the Franklin County Prosecutor handling that.
