Thunder that sounds like gunshots

Lighting is unpredictable, and can be tricky to catch on camera, but this woman had no problem. Erica Hite was filming storms from her window in Boynton Beach, Florida on Sunday when the lightning suddenly struck a concrete dumpster enclosure right outside her window, and it sounded like gun shots. The National Weather Service says what she saw is what's known as a continuous current, or positive lightning, which is up to ten times stronger than an average bolt of lighting and accounts for less than five percent of all strikes.
