COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--A woman is in custody in Texas, accused of killing her ex-husband and running off with their two children.
The Franklin County Sheriff's Office says 25-year-old Brandi Edmond shot and killed 35-year-old Jeremy Edmond at his home along Harrisburg-Georgesville Road on Tuesday, May 28th. His body was found after a relative requested a welfare check.
Brandi is accused of kidnapping the two children and fleeing to Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Brandi did not have legal custody of the children.
Brandi was located and apprehended in the Lone Star State, where she admitted to the murder. The children were found unharmed at Brandi's parents house.
Edmond is charged with murder and kidnapping. Officials are now working to extradite Brandi back to Franklin County to face those charges.
