COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Columbus Police say a child was struck and killed Wednesday morning on the city's east side.
Investigators say it happened along McNaughten Road, near East Main Street, around 6:30AM.
A Columbus City School bus and an SUV were in the area at the time, but officers say the school bus was not involved.
Columbus City Schools say the student was a 6th-grader at Sherwood Middle School. The Columbus Police Therapy Dog Unit also responded to the scene Wednesday morning.
Investigators are still looking into exactly what happened.
