SAN FRANCISCO, California, (WTVN)--The San Francisco 49ers beat the Cleveland Browns 31-3 Monday night, but former Buckeye Defensive End Nick Bosa scored a win for Ohio State fans as well.
The 49ers Defensive End had a career game, with four tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovered. His most memorable play, though, came on a knockdown of Browns Quarterback Baker Mayfield.
Late in the 2nd quarter, with the 49ers up 21-3, Bosa got to Mayfield to knock him down, just before he released the ball. Bosa used the opportunity after the play to mock Mayfield by pretending to wave and then plant a flag on the field.
In 2017, Mayfield led the Oklahoma Sooners to a 31-16 win over Ohio State at Ohio Stadium. After that game, Mayfield planted an OU flag at the 50-yard line of the stadium.
After Monday night's game, Bosa planted a real flag on the field.
