Buckeyes Remain #2 in AP Poll, Following Win Over Michigan

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--The Ohio State Buckeyes held on to their #2 ranking in the Associated Press poll this week, following their 56-27 win over Michigan on Saturday.

LSU remains in the top spot according to the writers, but the Buckeyes are still #1 in the College Football Playoff Poll, with the new results being released in those rankings on Tuesday.

The Buckeyes are now preparing for a re-match with Wisconsin in the Big Ten Championship Game Saturday night in Indianapolis. With a victory, Ohio State is assured of a spot in the four-team College Football Playoff, and will play for the national championship.

The Buckeyes have not made it to the playoff since the 2016 season. They lost 31-0 to Clemson in the playoff semifinal that year. Ohio State won the initial College Football playoff in 2014.
