Three Confirmed Coronavirus Cases in Franklin County

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Among the 37 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Ohio, as of Sunday, three of them are in Franklin County.

The Ohio Department of Health says one of the cases is in a Columbus firefighter. He was assigned to Station 24, at the corner of Morse and Karl Roads. Dr. Amy Acton Sunday says that fire station may have to shut down as a result.

The firefighter fell ill Thursday, and tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday. All of the other firefighters at the station are now in self-quarantine, and all of the equipment at the stations was cleaned and disinfected.

The first case of Coronavirus in Franklin County was reported Friday, in a man who took a Carnival cruise out of New Orleans on February 29th, that went to Cozumel, Mexico, and returned on March 6th.
