COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--There was no daily press briefing Thursday from Ohio Governor Mike DeWine on the status of the coronavirus in the Buckeye State, but there was still a big announcement from his office.
DeWine's office says beginning on June 10th, entertainment venues like aquariums, art galleries, indoor family entertainment centers, indoor movie theaters, roller skating rinks, and other recreational facilities can reopen.
The Governor says the facilities have to adhere to the state's "Responsible Restart Ohio" consumer, retail, service, and entertainment guidelines for cleaning and social distancing.
The guidelines encourage customers and guests to wear face coverings, but does not require it. It also asks visitors to maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet, and for facilities to place hand sanitizer stations at high-contact locations.
The order does not include Ohio's two major theme parks, Cedar Point and Kings Island, and does not include most waterparks.
