We are excited to announce that the Scoring and Data Committee (ShotLink) is looking for volunteers for the Workday Charity Open event that will be held at Muirfield Village Golf Club July 9-12, the week before the Memorial Tournament.
Scoring and Data Control volunteers are stationed along each green and/or fairway in order to plot players' shots on electronic tablets as well as use a laser to record coordinates. All shifts run from beginning of play until end of play each day. Round 1 & 2 shifts (Thursday and Friday) are approximately 12 hours in length. Round 3 & 4 shifts (Saturday and Sunday) are approximately 9 hours long in length.
Requirements: Age Requirement: 18 & Up. Must have a strong knowledge of golf. Be able to stand for long periods of time ALL Volunteers, (new or returning) will be required to take the MANDATORY training (This is a new policy and will be monitored by the PGA) o ONLINE ShotLink training course – Once registered you will be provided an email with a link to this training o Attend one classroom style training (July 6th or 7th) – time TBD o Attend LIVE HANDS ON training the Wednesday of Tournament week.
