Another New Daily Record For Coronavirus Cases in Ohio

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--Another new record for coronavirus cases in a single day in Ohio was set on Thursday.

Governor Mike DeWine reported 3,590 new cases over the 24-hour period that ended Thursday, far surpassing the previous total. The 21-day moving average of new cases is also above 2,000.

DeWine says the spread is now mainly in informal gatherings, and with another holiday weekend coming up, Halloween parties should not be held this year.

He adds that Thanksgiving and Christmas will be much different this year as well.

The governor also called on each community to organize a COVID-19 defense team, to assess their situations, take inventory of needed supplies, and coordinate response efforts.
