COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN)--A man was shot and killed at a grocery store on Columbus's west side Sunday evening.
Police were called to the Kroger in the Consumer Square West shopping center just after 6:30PM, where 26-year-old Paris Royal was found with a gunshot wound. Medics took him to Grant Medical Center, but he later died.
According to investigators, it started with an altercation between a woman, who was apparently a customer, and a security guard. Royal then began fighting with the security guard, and shots were fired.
At this point, no charges have been filed, and the information in the case will be given to the Franklin County Prosecutor's Office for review.
