COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- The Columbus Division of Fire reports one person was killed after jumping from a second-story window to avoid a house fire.
It happened early Friday morning in the 1600 block of Autumn Village Dr. on the southwest side of the city.
Fire crews were called to the home just before midnight.
The victim, identified as the son of a woman who lived in the home, had come out of the building, but for some reason, went back inside.
Crews continue their investigation into what started the fire.
