WEST LIBERTY, Ohio (WTVN) -- There were some terrifying moments Friday for students and staffers at a school in Champaign County.
Authorities were called to West Liberty-Salem High School just before 8 o'clock on a report of a shooter.
One student was shot. That student's condition is not yet known.
The Dayton Daily News reports that students were told of a shooter on the school grounds and ordered to go into lockdown mode. However, some students broke out windows and ran from the school.
Within a half hour, the situation was contained.
The shooter, said to be a student, was taken into custody.
