One hurt in school shooting in Champaign County

WEST LIBERTY, Ohio  (WTVN) -- There were some terrifying moments Friday for students and staffers at a school in Champaign County.

Authorities were called to West Liberty-Salem High School just before 8 o'clock on a report of a shooter.

One student was shot.  That student's condition is not yet known.

The Dayton Daily News reports that students were told of a shooter on the school grounds and ordered to go into lockdown mode. However, some students broke out windows and ran from the school.

Within a half hour, the situation was contained.
