Tom Izzo Rips ESPN Announcer Dan Dakich

Hall of Fame basketball coach Tom Izzo of Michigan State had something on his mind when he took to the podium following Michigan State's 74-66 win over the Basketball Buckeyes Tuesday night. Sure, he was happy about the win, but he had a bone to pick with ESPN color commentator Dan Dakich.

Dakich was working as the analyst for the game and was booed repeatedly by the Michigan State fans in the "Izzone." There were also frequent chants of "We hate Dakich," during the game. Why? It all stems from some back-and-forth on Twitter between Dakich and some Michigan State supporters. In some tweets that have since been deleted, Dakich called Michigan State fans "whiners" and cracked on the Spartans--who were blown out last week by Michigan--saying Michigan State students could never get accepted to the University of Michigan. Dakich's son Andrew is a walk-on at Michigan.

"I was kind of getting upset at the chants, until I got in the locker room...and somebody read me his tweets," Izzo said. "Calling us whiners and that is unprofessional but saying are students couldn't get in (at Michigan)...and he's doing games for Michigan when his son's there....that is a disappointment and that is ridiculous...and I have no respect for him for that."

It was about a 2 minute rant. You can check it out here.
