UPDATE: West side gunfire leaves two wounded

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- Gunfire on Columbus's West Side leaves two people hospitalized and forces commuters to take a detour.

Police say a woman was shot near the UPS Distribution Center on Trabue Road around 4 a.m. Friday.  She is reported to be in life-threatening condition.

Officers followed the man suspected of shooting her to the area around W. Broad Street and Wilson Road.   That's where stop-sticks brought his truck to a stop.

The man was taken to the hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds.  Police say the male suspect shot himself in the head.

The suspect in the incident has been identified as 54-year-old Danny Fabro. The victim, identified as 50-year-old Joyce Fox. Both are being treated at Mt. Carmel West Hospital.

Police say the two were boyfriend and girlfriend, with the relationship ending back in November.
