Fitness Classic expected to draw 200,000 to Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- Thousands of athletes will be packing into Columbus this weekend for the Arnold Sports Festival.

The festival opens Friday at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, with organizers expecting 200,000 people ready to spend close to $52 million.

The event, started in 1989, features competitions in 70 sports and events, entertainment and a fitness expo with more than one-thousand vendors.

The highlight of the weekend will be the Arnold Amateur Strongman Finals on Sunday afternoon.
