Happy Anniversary Matt Sylvester

It's still the most improbable basketball win I've ever witnessed in person. No. 1 and undefeated Illinois came into Value City Arena on March 6, 2005 trying to complete a perfect regular season. The Illini led by 11 at the half and by as many as 16 in the game but Ohio State--on NCAA probation that season, chipped away behind the inside play of Terence Dials and an unreal performance by Matt Sylvester who scored a career high 25 points.

Ohio State got to within two, at 64-62, and called timeout. Then first year coach Thad Matta famously said in the huddle--we're going for the win--and he got it when Sylvester nailed a 3 with :05 left and the Buckeyes got the last second defensive stop to complete the upset. It might be the loudest basketball moment in Schottenstein Center history. It was also the defining moment in Sylvester's career. In honor of the anniversary---here's those remarkable final moments.

Big Ten Tournament Bracket Set

The 2017 Buckeyes would like nothing more than to find some Matt Sylvester like magic this week. Ohio State (17-14, 7-11 Big 10) is the 10-seed for the Big Ten Tournament in Washington D.C. and will play 14-seed Rutgers on Wednesday night at approximately 7 p.m. on the Big 10 Network.

If the Buckeyes win, they would face Northwestern Thursday night. A win over the Wildcats would set up a game against Maryland on Friday. Here's a look at the entire bracket.
