The Hack Heard Around Cleveland?

Is he being traded or not? Back-up Patriots quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo's Instagram account seemed to indicate that he was being dealt. In a post at 4 A.M. Friday morning, a picture of Garoppolo include a message--presumably from Garoppolo that read: "So grateful for my time in New England. Peace Out Boston." (See below)

Garoppolo is a coveted QB by serveral teams--including the Cleveland Browns, who made a deal with Houston Thursday, acquiring QB Brock Osweiler and two draft picks (2nd round 2018, 6th round 2017) for a fourth round pick. Reports indicate that the Browns do not see Osweiler as a long term solution. Reports indicate the Browns made the deal--and agreed to  take on Osweiler's contract--for the purpose of acquiring more picks to potentially use in a trade with New England for Garoppolo. As a result, fans and media began reading tea leaves when Garoppolo's post circulated and believed the Browns and Pats had swung a deal. It was even reported on television in New England. Quickly however, reports began trickling in that the Garoppolo post was a hack--and that there's no deal. Maybe there will be in the future, but for now, Jimmy G. is still a Patriot and the Browns continue searching for a long-term QB solution. Here's a look at some of the craziness after the Garopplo post.
