What's Next For The Buckeyes?

A 17-15 season, with no post-season bid isn't what Thad Matta, the Buckeye players, and their fans expected. Unfortunately, that's exactly what we got in 2016-17. An inconsistent team, lacking toughness, togetherness, leadership and heart, underachieved putting Matta in the cross-hairs of many critics. The winningest coach in Ohio State history was given a vote of confidence by Director of Athletics Gene Smith, but it seems obvious a turnaround and return to the NCAA tournament is needed next season. How can Matta and his team make that happen? Who are the key players? What changes need to be made? All of those topics and more were discussed at length in our final Basketball Bucksline of the season. Former Buckeye captains Scoonie Penn and Tony White broke down the season and the future for two full hours. A big thanks to all of you for listening and participating in the show, not only Monday night, but all season long. It was a rough year for the Buckeyes, but not for Basketball Bucksline where Tony and Scoonie brought it every week. I can't thank both of them enough. They're terrific analysts and wonderful guys to work with. If you missed our final show of the season, the podcast is here.
