Ohio State Vs. Texas

All is fair in love, war and recruiting. Former Ohio State offensive coordinator and coaching friend of Urban Meyer is trying to win back the state of Texas. Herman, hired as the Longhorns head coach in late November, has catching up to do in his home state--and Ohio State is one of the main reasons. The Buckeyes 2017 recruiting class, ranked No. 2 nationally, included four prospects from Texas---five if you include JUCO  transfer Kendall Sheffield. Those recruits included 5-star talents like defensive back Jeffrey Okudah, linebacker Baron  Browning and running back J.K. Dobbins.

Losing in-state talent to a school to the north, like Ohio State is something Herman hopes to change and on social media last week, he took a swipe at Ohio State--and Columbus--by reminding potential recruits of the weather differences between Austin, Texas and Columbus.

Perhaps in response to the Herman jab, Ohio State Monday delivered a counter-punch. Two of those Texas 5-star studs, Browning and Dobbins, were featured in a video released on the Ohio State football Twitter account. They lip-synched their way through "Wanna be a baller"--and on Browning's Twitter account, he posted the video with the message, "Come to Ohio State and live all your dreams out." It's an interesting little back-and-forth between the Buckeyes and the Longhorns. Check out the video below.
