Three dead in West Columbus house fire

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) -- A woman, her daughter and her 16-year old granddaughter are dead following a fire early Friday morning on the west side of Columbus.

Firefighters arrived at the home on Cherry Creek Parkway, near Norton and Hall Roads, around 3 a.m. and rushed a 16-year old to Children's Hospital, where she later died.

A man in the home, identified as a father, was taken to Mount Carmel Hospital in serious condition.

The teen has been identified as Abbey Dickerson.  Counselors will be available at South-Western City Schools, where she was in the 10th grade, to talk with students.

Firefighters are not talking about what caused the fire, but they say their job was made tougher by a lot of items crowded into the home.
