Spring football is when younger Buckeyes can make inroads on the depth chart and work their way onto the field in the fall. Ohio State coach Urban Meyer made that clear to his team before last Saturday's second spring scrimmage.
"What's going to happen today is that at the end of practice, there's going to be two people, four people, six people on my mind that are going to play next year," Meyer is heard telling his team on the highlight video of the scrimmage released Wednesday by Ohio State. "You don't come here to watch...you come here to play. After today I'm going to have in my mind--are you going to play or not."
The Spring Game, on April 15 will be another opportunity for players to make an impression but last Saturday's scrimmage was just as important. It's only 150 seconds long--but--the video gives you a peek at the intense practice and scrimmage. Take a look below.
