D'Angelo Russell Game Winner Has Divine Intervention

On a difficult day personally for L.A. Lakers guard D'Angelo Russell and his family, the former Buckeye had a big professional moment. Russell beat the buzzer with a 3-pointer that bounced high off the rim and dropped through, giving L.A. a 110-109 win over Minnesota.  Russell's heroics came just hours after he learned that  his Grandmother had passed away. In fact, the 21-year old second year pro nearly didn't play but came up with the game winning shot, that he believes had some divine intervention involved.

"That's God making that shot," an emotional Russell said in a post-game television interview. "That was for my Granny."

After making the game winner, Russell was mobbed by his teammates, but then sprinted into the crowd, sharing an emotional hug with his family. Pretty good stuff here. Check out Russell's winner and his post-game interview.
