After a crushing game three overtime loss Sunday, the Blue Jackets were facing elimination and responded. Sparked by an incredible atmosphere in Nationwide, the Jackets beat Pittsburgh 5-4, avoiding a series sweep and sending the series back to Pittsburgh for game five Thursday night.
There were multiple heroes for the Jackets, who had five different goal scorers. Defenseman Markus Nutivaara, in the line-up for the first time, had a goal and an assist, as did William Karlsson and Boone Jenner. It was Jenner's 3rd period goal--stuffed in after a shot at the net by Brandon Saad, that proved to be the game winner.
Goalie Sergei Bobrovsky was shaky at times, but also made some huge saves, including one from point-blank range in the 3rd period.
Here are the highlights from Tuesday night, as well as post-game reaction from Coach John Tortorella, Nutivaara, Jenner and Bobrovsky.
